RAMBUTAN 120gr

Rambutan is a tropical fruit native to Southeast Asia (Malaysia and Indonesia) that has successfully adapted to the humid tropics of Mexico and is considered an exotic fruit.

It is a round or oval fruit, yellow to light or intense red in color. Its spiny spines, which look like hairs, have varying color and size, they can be red or green; the average size of the rambutan fruit is three to eight centimeters long and two to five centimeters in diameter.

The flavor of the fruit pulp ranges from sweet to sour-sweet and its consistency is generally juicy. It is high in vitamin C, riboflavin, carbohydrates and proteins that provide quality and nutrition to the consumer. Recently, rambutan peel has been found to contain epicatechins, a micronutrient that increases nitric oxide production to improve vascularization, blood flow and endurance, thus benefiting health by preventing or alleviating cardiovascular disease.
