Soursop is a tropical fruit belonging to the anonaceae family, trees or shrubs that produce gray fruits, generally in tropical areas.

This fruit is called a "delicious tropical miracle" thanks to its unique flavor and health-promoting nutritional properties. The fruit, leaves, flowers, stem, bark and roots can be used; for example, the leaves are used for medicinal purposes, in mumps patients, people suffering from insomnia and nervousness or the leaves are prepared in tea to relieve colds.

Its skin is green with large thorns and its pulp is juicy and fibrous. It is rich in vitamin C and vitamin A, as well as in minerals, including potassium and zinc, and to a lesser extent iron, magnesium and calcium.
