TABASCO BANANA 240gr

In the Tabasco territory the soil is fertile that gives away many types of fruits and flowers, but there is one that even bears the name of the entity: the Tabasco banana.

It is the Roatán banana, also known as “guineo”, which produces medium sized fruits with a delicious flavor. It has characteristics that allow it to be sown and harvested in the state.

The plant tolerates a wide variety of soils but prefers fertile, humid, deep and well-drained soils, although they grow better below 1000 meters of altitude. Its sowing time should be between June and September.

It is planted in full sun and must be protected from strong winds. It has a thin skin that is green when harvested and yellow when ripe.

Among the benefits of the Tabasco plantain are the following:

• Contains about 16% of the potassium required daily.
• It also contains other minerals, such as phosphorus, zinc, calcium and magnesium, necessary to maintain the health of various systems, such as bone and muscle.
